Our part-time family home, a flat in the New Town area of Edinburgh, is now
available for short-term rent. Sleeping up to 4 people for £110-£160
per night, this apartment is ideal as self-catering holiday accommodation,
for instance during the 
Edinburgh Festival. Location
This is a quiet, top floor flat on a private stair with only three other
properties using the stair. Great King Street was intended as the elegant
main thoroughfare of Edinburgh’s Georgian New Town, 1810, but for obvious
reasons it never really challenged Princes Street with its famous gardens
and castle so it remains a largely residential street but within easy walking
of most Edinbugh venues. Depending on your plans you will probably not need
transport within the central is good and you can eat out simply or in style.
We have recently replaced the kitchen and the bathroom, and installed central
heating. There is a large double bedroom and two smaller single rooms. The
living room looks out over Great King Street, which is the width of a ‘turning
carriage and four’ and in addition to the bathroom (large shower, no
bath) there is a second toilet. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to
cook in. The telephone is diverted to our own home number and we have assumed
that people will have their own mobile phones. However if access to the ground
line is required this can be made available. Linens are provided by us and
all fuel costs are included in the rental fee
